Terms of Use — FloatDot

FloatDot provides a customizable floating on-screen dot and optional utilities such as notes and reminders, floating notepad, vocabulary learning, cryptocurrency and stock price alerts, currency exchange rates, precious metals quotes, sports scores, weather and air-quality information, world clock and meeting planner, package tracking, news headlines, countdowns, screen-time break reminders, hydration reminders, medication reminders, subscription renewal reminders, live cricket score alerts on the floating dot (including while the device screen is off or the App runs in the background, subject to Android and OEM limits), Float Clip (floating short-form video playback), Float Music (floating music search and playback with local playlists), and floating overlay tools including Float Browser (in-app web browsing), floating calculator, and stopwatch with laps — plus related notifications. Features may vary by device, region, app version, and Premium status.

Market data, sports scores, weather, health-related reminders, and other information shown in the App are for general informational and personal productivity purposes only. FloatDot does not provide financial, investment, medical, legal, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on information displayed by the App.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the App only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

Market prices (stocks, crypto, precious metals, fuel prices) are for informational purposes only, may be delayed or inaccurate, and do not constitute an offer to buy or sell. FloatDot is not a broker, exchange, wallet, or financial advisor. Medication and hydration reminders are personal scheduling tools only. FloatDot is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Horoscope and tarot content is for entertainment only. The floating calculator is a basic arithmetic tool for personal use only and is not professional accounting or tax advice. Always consult qualified professionals before making financial or medical decisions.

FloatDot is designed to store most settings, notes, watchlists, and preferences locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your device and any backups of your data. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data may permanently delete locally stored content unless otherwise stated.

When configuring location-based features (weather, air quality, pollen, gas prices, etc.), you agree to provide accurate location or postal information where requested. You are responsible for keeping your device settings and app permissions up to date.

Release versions of the App may send aggregated usage statistics and crash diagnostics to Google Firebase as described in our Privacy Policy. This helps us fix bugs and improve reliability. Debug builds do not send this data to Firebase.

To function as intended, the App may request permissions including: display over other apps (overlay), notifications, internet access, exact alarms, boot completed, wake lock, vibration, and battery optimization exemption. Some features will not work if you deny relevant permissions. You may revoke permissions at any time in system settings, understanding that related features may stop working.

FloatDot may run background services and foreground services (with a visible notification where required by Android) to keep your floating dot, floating overlay tools (browser, notepad, calculator, stopwatch), reminders, and monitors active. On some manufacturers (Xiaomi, Samsung, OPPO, vivo, Huawei, OnePlus, etc.), you may need to allow auto-start, disable battery restrictions, and lock the app in recent tasks. Failure to configure these settings may cause missed reminders or an inactive dot.

The floating dot and optional floating windows (browser, notepad, calculator, stopwatch) are drawn above other applications at your direction. You agree not to use overlays to impersonate system UI, banking or payment interfaces, intercept sensitive input, or interfere with other apps in a deceptive or harmful manner.

You may use FloatDot for lawful personal, non-commercial purposes in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws.

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law; (b) use the App to distribute malware or spam; (c) scrape or overload third-party data sources accessed by the App; (d) circumvent premium or subscription features; (e) use the App in a way that violates Google Play policies or applicable regulations; (f) harass, defame, or harm others through content you create in notes, reminders, or the floating notepad; (g) use Float Browser, Float Clip, or Float Music to access, distribute, or facilitate illegal content, malware, or phishing; (h) use the App to circumvent paywalls, copyright, digital rights management, or platform terms (including YouTube Terms of Service) in violation of applicable law; (i) record, rip, re-stream, publicly perform, or commercially exploit audio or video accessed through Float Clip or Float Music; (j) use cricket score data for gambling, betting, or unlawful wagering.

The App may retrieve public or licensed data from third parties (e.g., market data providers, sports APIs, weather services, RSS/news feeds, package carriers). We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, or availability of third-party data. Delays, errors, or service outages may occur without notice.

Your use of third-party content may be subject to those providers' terms. Links or references to external sites or services do not constitute endorsement.

When you enter a URL or follow a link in Float Browser, you interact directly with that website's operator. FloatDot does not control third-party site content, availability, or security. Logins, purchases, or personal data you submit on external sites are between you and those sites. You are responsible for complying with each website's terms and applicable laws.

FloatDot is free to install and use without a paid subscription. Notes, vocabulary learning, and included entertainment mini-games remain available at no charge even without Premium. Premium unlocks additional utilities on the floating dot; subscribing is optional.

Some utilities require a subscription or a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing (for example 3-month, 6-month, or yearly plans, or optional lifetime access). Before you confirm any purchase, the App shows the price, billing period or one-time nature, auto-renewal terms for subscriptions, and what is included. The same information appears on Google's payment screen when you subscribe or buy.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Google Play processes all payments and stores your payment method; we do not receive your full card details. Refund requests follow Google Play refund policies unless applicable law requires otherwise.

You manage, change, or cancel subscriptions in Google Play (Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → FloatDot). One-time purchases are charged once and do not auto-renew.

When you install FloatDot for the first time on a device, you receive seven (7) days of full access to all utilities at no charge. This install trial is provided by FloatDot, is separate from any free-trial offer Google Play may show for a paid subscription, and does not require a payment method in Google Play. If you subscribe during or after the install trial, Google Play bills you according to the plan you select on the purchase screen (typically starting on the date shown there).

To prevent abuse, the trial start time may be stored on our server using a one-way hash of your device identifier (see our Privacy Policy). Clearing app data or reinstalling does not grant a new trial on the same device.

When the install trial ends, Notes, Vocabulary, and included entertainment mini-games remain free without a subscription. Other premium utilities require an active Premium subscription or eligible one-time purchase.

The App may display advertisements (e.g., banner ads) in certain screens. Ad partners may use device identifiers subject to your consent and our Privacy Policy.

FloatDot, its logo, UI design, and underlying software are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.

You retain ownership of notes, reminders, floating notepad pages, and other content you create in the App. You grant us a limited license to process such content solely to operate the Service on your device (e.g., scheduling alarms, displaying text on the dot, saving notepad pages locally).

This section applies to the live cricket score utility ("Float Cricket"), the floating short-form video tool ("Float Clip"), and the floating music utility ("Float Music"). These features are optional overlays that may require Premium, display-over-other-apps permission, internet access, and (for uninterrupted cricket updates) background operation and battery settings you configure on your device. They are provided for personal, non-commercial convenience only. We may change, limit, region-lock, or discontinue any of these features at any time without liability.

Float Cricket displays cricket match scores, status text, and related metadata obtained from third-party sports data providers at your request. Scores may be delayed, incomplete, incorrect, or unavailable due to provider outages, time zones, match cancellations, or device power-saving policies. FloatDot is not a broadcaster, league, bookmaker, or gambling service. Scores are not suitable for betting, fantasy wagering, or time-critical decisions. You are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding sports information and gambling. If you enable alerts while the screen is off or allow background refresh, your device may use network and battery resources; missed updates may occur on OEMs that restrict background work (Xiaomi, Samsung, OPPO, vivo, Huawei, etc.). We are not liable for missed wickets, delays, or notification failures.

Float Clip lets you browse and play short-form videos in a floating window, typically by loading third-party pages or streams (including YouTube) through in-app WebView and/or stream URLs resolved via our or third-party APIs. FloatDot does not host video files, does not claim ownership of third-party videos, and does not grant you any license beyond what the content owner and platform (e.g., YouTube) allow. You must comply with YouTube Terms of Service, applicable copyright law, and regional broadcast restrictions. You may not download, capture, redistribute, or monetize streams except where expressly permitted by the rights holder. Video playback quality, autoplay, sound, and picture-in-picture behavior depend on your device, Android version, and third-party site changes we do not control. We may block, throttle, or remove access to specific sources or APIs without notice to protect the Service, comply with law, or respond to rights-holder requests.

Float Music lets you search for tracks, build local playlists, and play audio in a floating overlay, using a combination of on-device playback (e.g., ExoPlayer) and/or in-app WebView playback of third-party pages (e.g., YouTube) while stream URLs are resolved. FloatDot is a personal listening convenience tool, not a music store, radio broadcaster, or download service. We do not guarantee that any track will play, that playback will be gapless, or that stream URLs will remain valid. You must have the right to listen to content in your jurisdiction and must follow platform terms (including YouTube Terms of Service). Offline download, public performance, and commercial use are prohibited unless you obtain separate rights. Search queries, video identifiers, and playlist metadata you create are stored locally on your device; resolving playback may send video IDs or search terms to our server (appbaochuyentien.com floatdot-api) and/or public third-party APIs as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for: (a) volume levels and not disturbing others; (b) mobile data and battery consumption from streaming; (c) ensuring overlay use does not violate workplace, school, or driving safety rules; (d) not using Float Clip or Float Music to bypass geo-blocking, ad-supported models, or paid subscriptions of third-party platforms; and (e) any content you associate with playlists or searches. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from claims arising from your misuse of cricket data, video, or audio features, including copyright infringement claims related to content you choose to play.

Cricket data, video pages, audio streams, thumbnails, and metadata come from third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for takedowns, account restrictions imposed by YouTube or other platforms on your personal accounts (FloatDot does not require your YouTube login), API rate limits, or breaking changes that require app updates. Continued availability of Float Cricket, Float Clip, and Float Music is not guaranteed in any specific country or app version.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING FLOAT CRICKET, FLOAT CLIP, OR FLOAT MUSIC. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $10.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
