What is FloatDot?
FloatDot is an Android app with a draggable floating dot. You enable utilities—stocks, crypto, weather, sports, productivity tools, and premium overlays—and access them on top of other apps without constant switching.
Is FloatDot available on iPhone or desktop?
No. FloatDot requires Android overlay permissions that iOS does not offer in the same way. There is no Windows or macOS desktop client today.
Why does FloatDot need “Display over other apps” permission?
That permission lets the dot and panels render above games, browsers, and chat apps. FloatDot uses it only to show the utilities you enable—not to capture passwords or read what you type in other apps.
How do I keep the dot from disappearing on Samsung, Xiaomi, or Oppo?
Follow the in-app OEM checklist: allow overlay, disable aggressive battery restrictions for FloatDot, and pin the app in recent tasks if your device kills background services. Steps vary by manufacturer.
Premium & billing
What is included in the 7-day Premium trial?
New installs can use the full Premium catalog—including live market utilities, weather, sports, Float Music, Float Clip, and other premium tools—for seven days. Notes and vocabulary remain free after the trial ends.
How much does Premium cost in USD?
Configured US prices: 3 months $4.99, 6 months $8.99, 1 year $14.99, and lifetime $29.99 one-time. See Pricing for details. Google Play may show tax or regional equivalents.
Which utilities stay free without Premium?
Notes and vocabulary utilities remain available on the free tier. Other premium utilities pause when your trial ends unless you subscribe or buy lifetime access.
How do I cancel or restore a subscription?
Open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → FloatDot to cancel. To restore on a new phone, install from the same Google account and use in-app restore purchases.
App & data
Where do stock and crypto prices come from?
FloatDot uses third-party market data feeds. Update frequency depends on the symbol, network, and provider limits. Always confirm prices with your broker or exchange before trading.
Is FloatDot a trading platform or broker?
No. FloatDot displays information and alerts for personal reference. It does not execute trades, hold funds, or provide investment advice.
Does FloatDot work with my watchlist symbols?
You configure watchlists inside the app. Coverage depends on the data feed supporting each symbol. If a ticker fails to load, try another format or check your network connection.
What are Float Music and Float Clip?
Premium overlays: Float Music for floating YouTube Music search/playback, and Float Clip for a vertical video feed with topic filters. Both require Premium and follow third-party platform terms.
Does FloatDot drain battery?
Live tickers and overlays use network and screen updates. Battery impact depends on how many utilities are active and your OEM battery settings. You can turn off utilities you do not need.
Can I use FloatDot while screen recording or gaming?
Overlays are designed to stay visible during multitasking and many games. Some games or recorders may block overlays; results vary by device and Android version.

What data does FloatDot collect?
See our Privacy Policy. Much data stays on-device (notes, playlists). Network requests may occur for market data, optional server features, and crash analytics as described in the policy.
Is health or weather information medical advice?
No. Weather, AQI, pollen, and medication reminders are informational tools only. Consult professionals for medical decisions.
Will you publish guides on this website?
Yes. The blog hosts English articles on floating stock tickers and Android overlays. We plan Wriai integration for long-term publishing.
